LeadWiseSystem ("we," "us," "our") is operated by Denecke Media LLC. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our lead tracking service at leadwisesystem.com and app.leadwisesystem.com.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you sign up, we collect your email address, name, company name, and password (stored as a bcrypt hash — we never store plaintext passwords).

Lead data: You enter lead information (names, emails, phone numbers, companies, notes) into the system. This is your data. We store it to provide the service.

Usage data: We collect basic analytics via Google Analytics 4 (page views, session duration) to improve the product. No personal data is shared with Google for advertising purposes.

Payment data: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers. Stripe handles all payment data under their own privacy policy.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and maintain the LeadWiseSystem service
To authenticate your account and enforce access controls
To process payments and manage your subscription
To send transactional emails (password reset, email verification, trial expiry notifications)
To improve the product based on aggregate usage patterns

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in AWS (Amazon Web Services) data centers in the US East region. We use:

Encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+)
Encrypted database connections
bcrypt password hashing
JWT-based authentication with short-lived tokens
Rate limiting on authentication endpoints
Account lockout after failed login attempts

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data and lead data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your data remains accessible in read-only mode. If you request account deletion, we permanently delete all your data within 30 days.

5. Your Rights

You can:

Export your data at any time (CSV export available in the app)
Delete your account by contacting us at matt@deneckemedia.co
Access your data — everything you entered is visible in the app
Correct your data — you can edit any lead or contact information

6. Cookies

We use:

Authentication token (localStorage) — keeps you logged in
Google Analytics cookies — anonymous usage analytics (can be blocked without affecting the app)

We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

7. Third-Party Services

Stripe — payment processing (stripe.com/privacy)
Google Analytics 4 — anonymous usage analytics (policies.google.com/privacy)
Amazon Web Services — infrastructure hosting (aws.amazon.com/privacy)

8. California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

Know what personal information we collect
Request deletion of your personal information
Opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information)

9. Children's Privacy

LeadWiseSystem is a business tool. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify active users of material changes via email.
